Overview
LAM negative-pressure hoods are designed to protect the operator and the immediate environment from airborne contamination, through vertical extraction combined with absolute and/or activated carbon filtration.
This dual filtration option explains the versatility of the LAM: it is particularly recommended for handling pathogens — HEPA absolute filter configuration — and for handling chemical products such as acids, solvents and alcohols — activated carbon configuration. Both media can be combined.
Unlike a Class II cabinet, the LAM does not protect the product being handled: the airflow is inward, with no laminar downflow over the work area. It is the right choice where only operator protection is at stake.
The structure is Coplast, the folding visor is safety glass, and airflow control is automatic. The unit sits on an existing bench or on a stand.
Installation, commissioning and IQ / OQ / PQ qualification are carried out by our own teams. Our service department covers France and Europe.
