PPE and consumables for cleanrooms
A perfectly qualified laminar flow cabinet is of no use if the operator approaching it sheds particles. The human body is the primary source of contamination in a cleanroom: hair, skin scales, textile fibres, droplets from speech.
This is the reason for the gowning protocol, and the reason ADS Laminaire has supplied consumables since 1973, alongside its manufacturing activity. Our supplier has manufactured industrial fabrics for over a century and has specialised in ultra-cleanliness since 1970.
The level of equipment is set by the target class. In ISO 8, a coat, a cap and overshoes are generally sufficient. In ISO 5, a full coverall is required, with a beard cover for the operators concerned and a latex-free cap.
Beyond the PPE listed below, our consumables range includes lint-free wipes, swabs and peel-off tacky mats. These last deserve a mention: placed at the entry airlock, they retain particles from shoe soles and are peeled away as they become soiled. They are the least expensive item in the airlock, and one of the most effective.
